We've had lovely weather in Melbourne for the last couple of days, and the low winter sun has been transforming things into gems.

It turns the autumn leaves into carnelian, garnet, and imperial topaz. The sea becomes chalcedony and pearl. And the parrots are flying bundles of emeralds and rubies.
