I'm sure private movie-theatres exist in many places, but the fact is I've never been to one. So I really enjoyed going to Moviebox as part of a colleague's farewell this week.

You choose your own movie, of course, and your own subtitles (I never quite fathomed out why we would occasionally get Russian alongside the Indonesian...). And at intervals, the little side-lights go on, and someone discreetly enters to serve you whatever drinks and snacks you've ordered. Hard to beat, really: watching a movie with just your friends, sitting curled up on a comfy couch, and slurping avocado juice with chocolate and ice-cream.

Dinner at Cowmad, which serves a great range of really tasty beef dishes, rounded off an awesome evening.
