Our walk this morning took us once more from Prawirotaman to the ever-picturesque Kraton area.

Our ultimate destination was Taman Budaya, where there's an exhibition of sculptures by Purjito, called Sembah (Worship).

I loved it. Very simple. Serried ranks of white figures, multiplied by mirrors, all in poses of reverence and adoration. Very powerful. And ever so slightly spooky...







Rounded off with a stroll through the calm, peaceful grounds of Banteng Vredeburg. It turns out there's a smart new cafe...



Finally, we took a becak back to Prawirotaman where we recovered Rufus, and rode home.

I love our little trips. I've been really busy all semester, and mostly work six days a week. Little trips are a life-saver...
