So, tomorrow, early in the morning, we're setting off for Korea and Beijing.

What better preparation, then, than a Korean meal and a Chinese movie?

The meal, at Sopoong, Quill City Mall, consisted of gimbap (a relative of sushi) and pajeon (a green onion pancake). Both delicious, and with soup, sides, and green tea, very filling.

The movie, Monster Hunt, is reportedly the highest-grossing domestic movie in China. Very entertaining. A butch-girl-and-gentle-boy combo reminiscent of Journey to the West; the usual acrobatic martial arts; highly endearing monsters (I particularly liked the dancing guys with the suction ears); hat-tips to those archetypally Chinese landscapes we experienced round Yangshuo; and never a dull moment in the action department.

Was there any "meaning" to it? Well, a lot of people turn out to be monsters underneath, but that doesn't matter too much, because monsters aren't all bad...
