I may have the bug

by nigel on 08-Mar-2016
This website randomly chooses pictures from the currently 21,000+ and growing collection that we have taken over the years and serves a 'slice' of it on most pages.
Randomly it choose this picture for whilst I am writing this blog post about rail transport:

Coincidence? Maybe!

We are fortunate to live within walking distance of both a monorail system:
monorail

and a light railway system:
ampang

Not only is travel on both of these a regular part of everyday life, but also the monorail occupies the view from the living room window:

Things happen on the monorail, the old trains break down (occasionally) and new ones make their first appearance or change colour scheme.
You start to get drawn in, it is part of your everyday life and you become a monorail fan.
You join the Monorail Society and post pictures and news of 'your monorail' for them.
Some of your fellow monorailists make good and interesting videos so although you know you can not match the quality you too start making the sort of video that presumably only die hard monorails fans watch all of.

And when you go elsewhere if there is a monorail you at least go and have a quick (and 430kph is quick) ride on it.

I believe behaviour such as this is incurable in Engineers like myself.
