New things in KL
by prudence on 31-Jul-2016Since getting back home to KL, we've revelled in "old things" -- favourite breakfasts, time-honoured lunch spots, and well-loved evening haunts. But there's always something new to try. For example:
-- Watching Finding Dory and Jason Bourne, both very enjoyable, although the extent to which they're actually NEW is contestable...
-- Trying out Franco's tall pancakes (below is "orijinaru", but we also sampled the cream cheese version, and can confirm both are pretty nice)
-- Discovering The Loaf's signature coffee, the Cube -60C (add warm milk to frozen coffee cubes and you get a really nice coffee drink, which is also fun to watch)
-- Checking out the new infographics on the monorail pillars at Chow Kit
-- Finding out that Ben's has a number of new items on the menu (below are the smoked salmon and potato salad, the beef sandwich, the charcoal pavlova, and the extremely wobblesome raspberry and lychee cake)
-- And enjoying the latest expo at the always interesting Petronas Gallery (a homage to Ismail Zain)
