Bangkok: Sukhumvit and environs -- 2

Sukhumvit has ~{purplepost~=795~;text~=continued~;target~=suk1~} to be a rewarding base for our eight-day BKK trip.
Interesting things continually pop up on our walks. Like a pocket park:
~{nilimage~=131962~;dir~=H~;alt~=pp1~;caption~=What a brilliant idea. Why are there not more like this in all our cities?~}
~{nilimage~=131963~;dir~=V~;alt~=pp2~}
Or an under-the-road garden:
~{nilimage~=132031~;dir~=H~;alt~=underroad~;caption~=Again, what a great idea...~}
Or a motorbike-themed cafe:
~{nilimage~=131966~;dir~=H~;alt~=cub1~}
~{nilimage~=131967~;dir~=H~;alt~=cub2~}
Or an interesting bit of architecture:
~{nilimage~=132032~;dir~=V~;alt~=curves~}
You're never far from a wat or shrine:
~{nilimage~=131969~;dir~=V~;alt~=thatthong~;caption~=This is Wat That Thong, right by Ekkamai BTS station. The really interesting bit is on the streetfront, where people stop by for lunchtime prayers~}
~{nilimage~=131980~;dir~=H~;alt~=treeshrine~}
Or from something wacky:
~{nilimage~=131965~;dir~=V~;alt~=mask~}
And, of course, I have continued to collect Thai gates, which are a never-ending source of interest...
~{nilimage~=131973~;dir~=V~;alt~=gate1~}
~{nilimage~=131974~;dir~=H~;alt~=gate2~}
~{nilimage~=131975~;dir~=H~;alt~=gate3~}
~{nilimage~=132034~;dir~=H~;alt~=gate4~}
~{nilimage~=132035~;dir~=H~;alt~=gate5~}
~{nilimage~=132079~;dir~=H~;alt~=gate6~}
Journeys often have awkward hiatuses -- when you've checked out of your hotel, but it's not yet time for your next bit of transport, and you don't want to get too mucky in the interim. Luckily, Sukhumvit's Terminal 21 solved that problem for us. By the time we'd lingered over a cup of coffee, watched ~{link~= https://www.bangkokpost.com/lifestyle/film/1629651/expanding-the-friend-zone ~;text~=Friend Zone~;target~=friendzone~} (cute...), and downed a bowl of noodles at Hachiban-Ramen 8 (last chance to get into Sukhumvit's ~{purplepost~=799~;text~=Japanese vibe~;target~=sukfood~}), it was time to go.
At the ramen place, I bought a natty little "8" purse in which to transport my daily chemicals. How sad is that...? But hey, here's handy 8 at Hualamphong Station, ready for our next adventure. So, chemicals or no chemicals, the journey continues...
