The title of my previous blog rather limited the range of things that could sensibly be discussed under it's umbrella, which reminds me I must post about Singapore's approach to the capture of rainwater some time. I had hardly even begun to think "broader" when "Life, the Universe and Everything" drowned out the opposition.

Of course, the fact that everyone, well everyone worth speaking about, uses the same phrase is a minor deterrent for one who does not generally like to think that he is going with the flow. But at the end of the day it does the required job beautifully.

Apart from the humour, which I love, there are so many phrases and pieces of dialog that have popped out of depths of my memory over the many years since The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy first appeared that I am willing to be one of the crowd on this one and borrow a few words from Douglas's work.
