Walking up Elizabeth Street.
To the right just in front of me is a very small elderly lady. Like, really small -- much shorter even than me.
To the left just in front of me is one of the tallest young men I've seen for a while.
The lady glances left, and spots him. Looks up. Just smiles. Kind of incredulous that anyone can be so much bigger than her.
The guy glances right, spots her smiling. Smiles back.
They both know what the other one is thinking -- how different we are, and isn't it funny.
I have to smile, too.
That's it. Just kind of nice. One of those great "street moments" you only get when you're walking.
