It's the little things that matter -- 3
by prudence on 18-May-2013
-- Seeing flocks of ducks being herded along the roads to whichever paddy field is next due to get the quackers treatment
-- Eating pisang bakar with friends at Cafe Legend; jaffles, followed by apple and cinnamon pancakes, at that old standby, ViaVia; and an excellent vegetarian dinner back in the quiet, relaxing garden of Milas
-- Having highly original and delicious drinks at the quirky House of Raminten
-- Attending the opening of the ASEAN Studies Centre at Universitas Gajah Mada
-- Feeling totally out-of-place but fascinated at the neighbourhood women's "arisan" meeting
-- Having neighbours bring round a huge box of (goat-oriented) food as part of the celebration for the birth of their new baby
-- Watching Batas and Sang Pencerah, Indonesian movies about -- respectively -- life on the Indonesian/Malaysian border in Borneo and the founder of Muhammadiyah
-- Finally getting "Speedyfied" -- yes, we now have domestic wifi!
