Today is the last chance to get a blog in with a December date and thus the last chance for 2010. Today is, in the calendar used in these parts, New Years Eve.
So congratulations to the Earth for successfully doing another lap of the sun without getting lost on route or bumping into anything significant. Hopefully it can keep up the good work.
For the pedantic one lap actually takes one sidereal year which is slight more than 365.25 days and the calendar and it's leap years is based on the tropical year which is slightly less than 365.25 days. But whats a quarter of day between friends?
