It's the little things that matter -- 1
by prudence on 13-Apr-2013
-- Realizing the Dutch had left behind Hagelslag.
-- Discovering rose-apples in our garden, and fire-flies in our neighbouring paddy fields.
-- Being uplifted by the beautiful chanting from our neighbouring mosque.
-- Seeing Mount Merapi on our morning strolls.
-- Having so many lanes to walk.
-- Never getting over being surrounded by rice.
-- Taking a traditional bath on a hot day (ingredients: a big vat of water and a scooper; method: scoop and pour -- there's truly nothing more refreshing).
-- Having clothes come back ironed from the laundry.
-- Finding new foods (last week: terang bulan and traditional doughnuts...) and continuing to relish the tried and tested.
