My version consisted of toasted brioche, topped with apple, cinnamon, and ice cream, and I thought it was pretty good. And, for me, there's always an extra little pleasure in the thought that I, a New Zealander of Manx origin, was eating a Japanese version of a French invention, served by a South Korean chain in Malaysia.
