What does happen to the suitcase?

So last night feeling extremely tired I sat in front of the TV and watched a recording of Pulp Fiction.
It is just as well that I wanted to watch something recorded and not an actual live broadcast or to record something for later viewing as the TV feed to our floor and a couple of others has gone down.
So in the Movie, Vincent and Jules are standing side by side when the guy bursts out the bathroom and fires multiple shots at them. They are amazed, indeed Jules decides on a complete change of life as a result, that not a single bullet touches either of them and Jules goes and looks at the bullet holes in the wall behind them.
Now, and having rewind capability I am sure of this, the bullet holes in the wall behind are there before they get shot at.
Later in the car, Jules can be seen with blood on his head immediately before Vincent accidently shots the guy in the back seat, which is the supposed source of the blood.
It reminds me of the assorted versions of the parting at the railway station. You know how it goes. The shot down the length of the train with the engine steaming in the distance to generate some atmosphere. She puts her suitcase down, it is always her who is leaving, they talk and embrace. Then she climbs into the carriage, closes the door and leans out of the window and the conversation continues until the train is pulling out of the station. The next long shot is of him looking after the disappearing train as she continues to lean out of the window.
What is usually missing is the suitcase.
You can see that she does not hold the suitcase when she climbs into the train and the door is closed immediately. There is no opportunity for him to place it in the train. Neither does the time flow allow for them to pass it through the window.
It is not on the train with her, which of course is going to course a little inconvenience later, and yet in that last shot it is not on the platform either.
